It also helps that the songs are, you know, good. Stars Riley Keough and Sam Claflin really learned to sing and perform on stage. It helps that the project was so committed to the music aspects of things. It's a show about rock 'n' roll, and, mission accomplished, you'll probably spend a good bit of time rocking and rolling while watching.
Luckily, for Daisy Jones & The Six-Prime Video's new TV adaptation of the bestselling Taylor Jenkins Reid book of the same name-both the fictional music (from the titular band and others) and the real-world music used (from artists like Carole King) is, well, really good. When you have a show about a (fictional) great band, well, the music better be good.
It goes without saying, but the hallmark of a good soundtrack is good music.
